NSW:Prison escapee carjacks elderly couple
SYDNEY, Feb 3 AAP - A prison inmate is believed to have used a screwdriver to carjack
a Mazda 3 from an elderly couple after he escaped from a minimum security area of the
jail.
Convicted armed robber Mark Maukau, 23, escaped Goulburn Correctional Centre on Friday,
police say.
Maukau was missing from a 12.30pm (AEDT) roll call and was last seen driving a 2011
grey Mazda 3 about 10 minutes later.
Police believe he is responsible for threatening an elderly couple with a screwdriver
