Fed: Rudd expecting October election

Opposition leader KEVIN RUDD says he's expecting a federal election in October.

He says Prime Minister will probably call the election not long after the APEC summit
.. which ends on September 9.

Mr RUDD's told Sydney radio station WSFM an election campaign is usually a month ..

so if it's called in the middle of September it will be held towards the middle to the
end of October.

The comments came as Mr RUDD was asked to spin a Wheel of Election Dates on-air ..

and it twice landed on the date of October 20.
